say biz ... to my knowledge, bt dj'ed a radio 1 essential mix back in 97. check on it, its actually pretty sweet. i know that he prefers live acts [acoustic when possible] to dj'ing. that essential mix is the only dj performance ive ever heard come from him.

| Yeah I heard an interview where he said he doesn't DJ cause he totally respects the art form of DJing. he said he KNOWS how to do it, he just doesn't cause he can't do it like Sasha - kinda admirable actually. He said that he has seen Sasha keep a set in the same key, and do other hyper-musical stuff - hey I know nothing about music(theory and whatnot). I wouldn't be surprised if he has done something tho...I think I remember seeing a set such as what you are mentioning. If he wasn't playing his own songs only then definitely. He wouldn't perform acoustically, unless it was a grand piano. But he performances are similar in everyway to a 'DJs' live set. Nonstop, flowin. Cause we'll go dreaming.......heh. peace. |

acoustically, i meant live drums and electric & acoustic guitars, and, yes, a piano. and of course the vast array of synthesizers, samplers and the like. :)

Hmmm, I'm not afraid to be different but I feel Hybrid are overrated, their productions/remixes have done absolutely nothing for me! |

Open you ears!
Hybrid lay so many different sounds/melody's/rhythms into their songs and i would say they're style has not been matched by anybody. Their sets are energetic and unique.. they simply ing own! |

agreed. i believe hybrid are the modern pioneers of the nu skool breakz genre that exists today. gods...in my book. course progressive and breakz is my bag. hehe :)

| My opinion is that BT as well as Hybrid are making music of the future like it is meant to be! I hope to see them playing live sometime, but unfortunately they are not coming too often in the Netherlands :( On the 12th of May I will maybe see Hybrid for the first time when they play in Holland for the Renaissance tour 2001, but it will be a dj-set and I really would like to see a live-set from them, but better something then nothing... |

but BT producers quite a wide range of stuff.. from p.house - trance - breakbeat - weird experimental stuff..

yeap no one does it like BT. so many styles, and all done so right!
he is not a DJ though, and I can't think either at some other some1 like him.. so just stick with the realy good stuff! |

i got a 140 min mix of BT and gavin kitel ,, very trancy .. wicked set...
also i heard BT hooked up a machine that records the brain waves , and then outputs this to a synth or something,, he does all type of crazy things,, we love it !!! hehe
if u want that set well ive only got 56 k modem but its the best progressive/mello trance set ive ever heard ,,, way better then sasha .. well i think so |
