When someone kills an American, it's murder, an assassination
When the US kills anyone (including a US citizen, without charges or day in court, and executed via drone), it's an elimination. If they kill a civilian, it's collateral damage. If they kill their own soldier, friendly fire. To avoid the Geneva Convention, their enemies are ``illegal combatants``. You can largely thank Bush and Blair for this new teminology to loophole around international law. I applaud this current effort in Malaysia. |
