More and more seen as a big trance talent, Liquid Soul was nominated for best trance artist and best trancr track on Beat port Music Award 2010.
Liquid Soul is Nicola Capobianco, based in switzerland, became already at an early age addicted to the magic of electronic music. He started playing progressive trance in the end of 1993. After many years of djing and producing, he has played and performed on big raves next to people like Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren etc. etc. In 2001, he decided to start a new project and Liquid Soul was born.
After many releases on top labels and playing in brasil, japan, mexico, uk, germany, greece, israel, portugal, belgium, austria, hungary, italy...., the long awaited debut album of Liquid Soul, released on Iboga Records, hits the street in 2006 and was the best selling album in the progressive scene in this year. With perfectly produced pumping tunes he rocked the progressive dance floors all over the globe. It’s a milestone in the Iboga records catalogue.
In the same year he started together with his friend martin the label mikrokosmos records.
Beside of his solo projects Liquid Soul and Sleek, he is also a part of the project earsugar, wich gather Liquid Soul & dj martin (also from Zurich).

*Motion Drive Biography *
Motion Drive is Philip Guillaume, 28 year old swiss citizen living next to Zurich. Philip’s interest in electronic music started at a very early age when his father made him listen to Jean Michel Jarre’s “Oxygene” and “Eqinox” followed by huge investments of Vinyl in 80’s music during his youth. In 1997 he got finally infected by the psytrance virus thru his best friend Andreas Märki. Together they started DJ’ing at small parties in the swiss woods soon followed by producing their own music. This collaboration led to two Album releases as BLUE VORTEX and RUMBLE PACK and many live gigs all over Europe playing at some of the biggest festivals like Voov, Fusion, Antaris, Ozora to name a few.
In 2006 Philip formed his solo-project MOTION DRIVE dedicated to progressive trance. In short time the first tracks appeared on compilations from labels like Iboga, Iono Music, Spintwist, Blue Tunes, Domo and he was asked to rmx some of the biggest Artists like Perfect Stranger, Ace Ventura and Emok/Maelstrom. In the last years he got the chance to collaborate with great artists like Behind Blue Eyes, Zen Mechanics, Time in Motion and Dualism to name a few.
Since the beginning of 2009 he's signed at the german label IONO MUSIC. He got the chance to compile his first compilation called "Sunset Delights" wich was released in august '09 and included big names like Jay Selway, C-Jay, Ocean, Solid Snake etc. After a buzy ’09 outdoor season, Philip went back to his studio and finally finished and released his first solo-album called "In the dirt" the 26. April 2010. The listeners will find tracks in a wide range from stomping off-beat to groovy progressive which contains unique themes and deep clubby build-ups, offering a funky and groovy mix between trance and house.
The Album was followed by a digital EP called "spring thing" released on Iboga Records. It included two tracks, the title track and a collaboration with the upcomming french artist Aladiah. Both tracks entered succesfully the top tens on beatport psytrance charts.
After a short break, the Motion Drive labs are on fire again and there are new tracks in the making. Expect some nice collaborations and remixes soon.
