A little unusual I know, but I know Palm was after something like this:

I just installed it in a multiroom situation and the quality is outstanding. It lets you send one signal wirelessly to four zones, through metal stud walls/barriers without any degredation. you can also buy just tx and rx units or any combo of powered wireless speakers or amps to use passive speakers etc.
it's the only system I've come across that works and does not cost $1000 (it's less than $400 for 4 rx and 1x tx units)
