Hello wonderful Trance lovers! I originally found my love of Trance with Gouryella.
As the years went by tracks like Pulsar Cloudwalking
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (V-One's Living Cities Remix) [could not help but dance when the build started again when listening at home right now]
and Fire And Ice - Souvenir De Chine all never stop lifting the spirit no matter how you feel when you put them on...
HardTrance started to really pick up in early 00's, but really became very small in its scope. These kinds of really heavy melody based high energy trance tracks just became very rare.
Bring us to my discovery recently that I want to share with anyone else who may feel the same but never heard about it.
I decided in desperation for some really beautiful melodies with high energy and just not modern trance, to download a couple 'hardstyle' sets. And generally I just let music play while I work or do tasks. It was a busy day and I fell asleep. One of the hardstyle sets started playing... couldn't have been more than an hour I am sleeping and I keep waking up to unbelievable melodies. I wake up and finally connect the dots and say to myself, I can't believe this, hardstyle - with real melodies like I love??? What?!?!
So I only know one person who regularly plays styles I enjoy. Its ---- COONE ---! Wow this guy has talent with melodies! He played a recent set, and I don't generally enjoy hardstyle too much its too hard for me - but he played a few tracks that are just leaving me dumbfounded that these feelings I haven't enjoyed since the days of tracks listed above suddenly return! Really strong high energy melodies that I find myself humming when doing stuff around the house etc...
So enough talk check out a few tracks of his or track I heard from his set. This is all new to me, so if you find that my 'travels' are similar to yours and you've found more gems please... please teach and share! thank you!
