Just getting a new setup sorted, and i'm new to all this. i have "dabbled" with various software but i want to try get into it more.
that said, i still dont know which software i will be concentrating on (either going to be Reason, Abelton or FL Studio) with whatever software i will need to make some tunes for fun.
my question is, up to a budget of around £250, which MIDI controller / Keyboard would YOU buy yourself based on what i just said?
just wandering if people with setups that include some of the software above used a good MIDI device that they would highly recommend...
Wind controllers especially like a sax model just look super cool when you are doing your trance melodies. Just make sure it is big enough that you can really grip it well but not so big that the embouchure hurts your mouth. I personally put a little wax on the end to help but I get some truly amazing melodies.
I even used it once in my dj sets. I had about 30 offers that night. I just wished I had the chance to perform at a straight club but I had quit the dj thing by then. But ya. magnet,

Very helpful, cheers :conf:
there is always one or two bafoons in every forum... at least we got that out of the way eh?

Since you are just starting keep it simple. I have a M-Audio Key Rig 49 and it works perfect for me. I don't need any knobs to assign to, all I need is the keys to play. It is well under your price range meaning you will have a few extra quid to by some synths with.

i think the extra nobs/pads will be handy for Abelton if i decide to go with that, but thats a good shout.
thank you

A good shout? Basically we could have said anything with keys knobs and faders that your budget comes in at. Cryo's reply was as good as out, plenty of choice there, but he's a "bafoon" :stongue:
I get this 86 thing now
