Playhouse presents DJ Yahel
DJ Yahel is a versatile artist with influences and techniques ranging throughout the trance & progressive spectrum. Yahel's music resides in a lush synthesis of club effects, deep trance beats, and psychedelia from the goa & trance scene. His music has also found its way into the records of such notable DJs as Tiėsto, Paul Van Dyke, ArminVan Buuren, Ferry Corsten and many more. Tiėsto considers Yahel's Voyage to be one of classic tracks and is a staple in his live sets.

Yahel is one of my all-time favorite producers. I didn't know he toured anymore, considering he NEVER comes to LA. I am REALLY, REALLY bummed I have to miss this. |

I used to open up for Yahel, and all the other Israeli DJs all the time. Yahel was probably the most frequently booked of them all. He was out here 2 or 3 times a year at least. Hasnt had many promoters booking him lately, last few xmas parties have had Astral Projection out this way at Avalon. |

Ah yes there was a couple of Isreali guys (M-Dance) that were doing parties monthly. Started at Circus, then went to the Hollywood Factory, Music Box, and a couple other spots in Hollywood. They used to get Yahel, Astrix, Astral Projection, Offer Nissum, Skazi, etc. all the time. They slowed down doing those events around 2009-2010. They were really fun parties. There was supposed to be a skazi, astral, astrix, yahel show or maybe 3 of the 4 a few years ago. planned my flight and everything and then was cancelled. Hoping to get a massive israeli psytrance show going since only LA and NY could pull something like that off. Psytrance is pretty much on the scale of pop music in Israel.
As for yahel, he also sometimes tours with a singer and a guitarist. Glad its not happening this time. Hopefully that means he can test the crowd for more non vocals tracks. |
