Sea of Dreams for the party... hotel no idea.

We switched our plans at the last moment from Las Vegas to San Francisco. The cheapest room we could find in Union Square is the Serrano Hotel. We stayed there a couple years ago. The rooms are tiny as hell but the beds were super comfy and it was clean. We are staying for 4 days Dec 29-Jan 2 and the total was around 513.00 with taxes and fees.

The other two hotels we considered were Chancellor Hotel Union Square (rated #10 hotel on tripadvisor) at about 145.13/night. Sir Frances Drake for 178.00/night or Hotel Palomar for 178.49/night.

Also, we found killer airline deals. We are flying from LAX to Oakland on Southwest for $59.00 (one way) then coming back from SFO to LAX on American for only $45.00 (one way).

We are going to see Avicii at the Warfield on Thursday December 29. He is doing two shows one starts at 7:30pm and the other starts at 11:00pm. However, the show at 11:00pm was sold out so we had to get tickets for the 7:30pm show.

Then we are going to see Wolfgang Gartner on Friday December 30 at Ruby Skye.

Not sure about NYE. Earlier in the day we are going to see UCLA vs. Illinois at AT&T park. I saw Ruby has a couple late ticket arrival options for Cedrick Gervais and DJ Dan to get in for $40 after 12:30pm or $25 after 2:00pm. It just depends how tired we are.

Then on Sunday off to see Chargers vs. Raiders at the Oakland Coliseum.

If anyone else has any other show options for NYE I would love to know.

TIP:

Do not wear Charger Gear while in the Black Hole. Had some friends that went wearing Pats gear and security had to constantly check to make sure they were okay. My buddies wife had a MISERABLE time. She said she would never go again (at least wearing Pats Gear)

Yeah, be careful at a Raiders games. Especially ifyou sit in the endzone. Things can get so crazy there, OPD has a their own skybox where there are cops lined up looking at the crowd with binoculars.

Thanks for the tip. My husband and I will not wear gear for any team. I am going to cheer for the Raiders but deep down inside I'm rooting for the Chargers.

Thank you all. I'm doing some research for an article I'm writing. Sea of Dreams looks like it is going to be a great party.
