Couldn't you apply the same logic to things like church? Or music? Things are just different when you're surrounded by swarms of your own species, the ebb and flow of pheromones weaponized at your ego. |

^ Agreed.
Too many people tie up their identity with their religion...throw a strict upbringing, poverty, extremism and a dash of mental illness in the mix and you can witness the above.
It's curious to see those crowds in the photos... wonder how many are there for the religious sanctity of the act vs the mere voyeuristic spectacle
