Ever since I started following the poll it was villalobos or hawtin at #1 so it's interesting that Jamie Jones and Troxler passed them both, but it's hardly surprising given the way the scene has been going.

The biggest winner is obviously Maceo Plex whose agent is probably going ape right now. He's going to make a ton of money next year on the back of his #5 spot. I'm a big fan of the guy but I think he's poised for the biggest falloff next year as his sound becomes stale and everyone gets tired of the "rebel" sound as a whole, which is bound to happen sooner or later.

Maceo plex had the biggest year byfar in terms of shows and production. He was my favorite producer this year because he made tracks that were fresh and new unlike 90% of the people on that poll

Glad to see Art Department on there, I've seen them spin some sick shows at the LA warehouses

[Dettmann] was the biggest surprise for me, honestly. He was my number 1 vote, and, reading through the thread where ppl posted who they had voted for, he seemed to be getting a ton of love.

Another sort-of surprise for me - Danny Daze at 55. He burst on the scene with that track (which is, admittedly, quite dope) but I haven't much else to merit such a high placing.

As for Jamie Jones - good on him. Saw him a handful of times this year and he never once disappointed.

yeah for maceo plex :D

The only real omission that made me scratch my head a bit is Kassem Mosse. Then again, I think I voted for him as a 'live act' as he played a live set when I saw him.

The list seems to me very biased towards a particular genre.

Any list that doesn't have Tiesto listed at #1 is a fake list. :tongue3

I got to see the dude play as Maetrik early last year at a UG in SF. It was ing fantastic and there weren't even 200 people there. Not gonna be able to get something like that anytime soon...

Techno is a genre, which Dj can do whole alot of remix in live.
Not like trance or house genre.
one track of Techno to me, is like one long EDM sampler sound which gives me more choice of remix in EDM sound.

this top 100 DJ list give me an Idea what DJ need to do behind the mixer.

great list!!
