Multiple iPads in your workflow?

I think I recall seeing some studio photos with multiple iPads (Raphie, RANN, or L4C maybe???). I use mine so much and have so many excellent apps for controlling my DAWs and synths (h/w & s/w) that I'm seriously considering replacing a couple of pieces of gear with a second iPad.

Just curious to know how you guys are working two of them into your workflow? Any issues with using more than 1 at a time that I should be aware of?

nope

using 3

I do use a WFI router and found switching to 5 GHZ as all the connections were interfering with my stupid mac track pad. But the Ipads themselves work great. Granted I don't have them jaillbroken and they only have about 6 apps each.

personally, if you have the cash, go for the euphonix collection. I use my ipads for other things than mixing like sibelius and photoshop but when you add up the cost of say 4 ipads . you might as well start looking at euphonix.

Nope, you don't have two iPads, or nope, there aren't any issues?

Great info! I'm not interested in the Euphonix, though. Having an extra iPad would be ideal for me for the same reasons you mentioned - I use it for a lot more than music and I have a kid who wants to use it quite a bit as well. So, even when he is using it, I'll have at least one to use for my studio (or Angry Birds).

I dont have any plans for a iPad atm and dont know much about them, just interested to hear what you use them for?

I primarily use it as a control surface for my DAWs (e.g., with V-Control Pro and AC-7 apps) and as a MIDI controller (e.g., with TouchOSC and soon, Lemur apps) for my software and hardware synths.

Ok, the V-Control Pro and AC-7 looks pretty impressive. A little bit on the luxury side for me but sweet none the less. If I had a iPad I would def consider a buy.

Nice setup MFB.I got a question about your nocturn. I was thinking of shelling out cash for one, but do you think it's absolutely essential for working fast so you can put what's in your head into the song quickly? Twisting knobs through clicking with the mouse just doesn't feel intuitive to me, that nocturn technology seems pretty awesome.
