hehe. Nah i can never ever in the world imagine meeting a girl on the net. This could only ever happen if and when Im old and ugly (as opposed to young and ugly ???:p). Meeting a chick is a personal thing and anyway, i cant communicate properly typing. Words out like come not i them want. :)

I think you can meet someone you can fall in love with on the net, but to fall in love with somebdy over the net....nooowaayy...I mean come on now, I have to see how they react in real life, how they dress how they carry themselves, you know things like that.... IT's the small things that count....:)

I don't agree... The person you end up loving, the one that you spend your life with is your best friend/soulmate... What the internet does is allow people to get to know each other without ever seeing that person. A lot of barriers are down when you don't speak to someone face to face, you do truly speak your mind and often have amazing discussions with people who are somewhat strangers.

Of course if you do find someone online that really turns your crank intellectually and emotionally, then its of course going to be important that the individual have decent looks :D ....

But I think its often shy people who get the most out of internet love, its hard for some people to meet and get involved with new people.. So the faceless internet solves that problem..

Either way, love is love, whether you find it online or in person... If it can happen in real life, it can happen online.. I'm surprised theres that many skeptics amongst us.

true thor, i agree with you. however, i myself had been with a girl for 3 years (kept in touch over ICQ and the like) and the way she acts in REAL life is very different then she is online. i believe i am too...to a certain extent. (yes i am just as crazee online as in real life :))

so there's a question to be asked sometimes. is it that you love the 'online' portrayal or the real thing? i had to ask myself that too.

Well. Personally I don't care how I end up meeting someone in real life. There are various ways to fix dates and internet offers some options too. Anyway, it's the person who counts, not the way you end up talking, kissing, fuc^H^H^H ahem :D

Anyway, I don't believe in "relationships" that happen only/mostly on the net. That ain't real. I sometimes chew blaablaablaa on IRC/wherever and if I happen to find an interesting person, I usually want to see her in real life asap. What's the point of writing a gazillion emails and drooling virtually if there's a chance to find out what the person is really like?

Finally some people still think that "all people who chat/use net forums/do whatever on the net" are nerds, losers, ugly, [insert a bunch of degrading adjectives here] :D. Heh, what a load of crap. Well, I admit that some of the people I have met haven't been the most trendy, outgoing and goodlooking, but hey, who cares and since I consider myself quite cute why should I think that everyone else looks like a pig's ass?

And before you ask... no, I met my current gf at a club.
