ripped
Vincent Clark (Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure) + Martin Gore (Depeche Mode) made a techno project (which to me sounds more like psy-prog)

first single

I think it's ok but I guess nothing really special. I'd like these guys to be more creative. So, what do you say?

well its made well, and its nice and punchy. its got a pretty good groove, but as you said there is not much creativity flowing through this, its pretty minimal. so these guys have an album coming? ill give it a shot for sure.

They also got some really high profile remixes on board. Regis, Edit-Select, DVS1 that's some impressive in terms of Techno.

Two guys that were highly important in the 80s, kept their relevance, but lost the edge and importance in the 90s and become almost completely obsolete and redundant during the 00s, try to make techno in the 10s - in times when even the greatest talents struggle to create something distinguishable and memorable. And fail, as expected.

Vince (and Alan Wilder) should just reunite with Depeche Mode and try to make something as far removed from dance music as possible.

some of DM's best music came out of the 90s. 00's albums weren't as quality but they were pretty successful

Of course, both Violator (though I always considered it more of an inheritance of the 80s, than truly a 90s record) and Songs Of Faith And Devotion were simply great, but the latter just can't match Black Celebration and the early stuff (that had a very important role in dance music procreation) influence-wise.

id lump Ultra in there too (its my personal favourite). its all relative though, the 80s stuff is iconic but the 90s output had a lot more maturity and growth to it.

I like the remixes way more.

this track is alright but I think "Man Made Machine," the single Gore produced with Motor earlier this year, is way better. he did a DJ set in town the other week and he played some remix of that track that was ing sick. wish I knew what it was called.
