Since holiday season is for sharing. I'm giving away 3 free mastering sessions (worth $50,00 each.) and 1 stem mastering session for up to 6 stems (worth $198,00)
This is a TA exclusive giveaway, for both first time and existing customers. (however current jobs in the cue don't count)
There is nothing you need to purchase, no email to be harvested, no unwanted mailinglists, no "Like" buttons to be pushed, nothing of that. Tracks are also not crippled with demo jingles either: Just 4 complete jobs release ready.
Why? Because I've got a new website and TA has always been good to me. And i'm grateful for the value it provides. You won't find this promotion elsewhere.
So what do you need to do?
Stereo Mastering:
- Just claim your slot by filling out the contact form on www.dropboxmastering.com referring to TA Mastering giveaway
- On the contactform, leave a soundcloud link to the track you want mastered (public or private) and tell me why I should master your track.
- The first 3 people who submit their track will get a free slot
- That's it.
Stem Mastering:
- Just claim your slot by filling out the contact form on www.dropboxmastering.com referring to TA Stem Mastering giveaway
- On the contactform, leave a soundcloud link to the track you want mastered (public or private) and tell me why I should master your track.
+ To raise the bar: The track must contain original recorded vocals :D
The winners will announced on TA Friday Dec 23rd.
Good luck!

maybe I'm inexperienced, but I have nfi what a stem is except what sellout dj's try to flog on beatport to get noobs to remix their house releases. |

Correct a song consists of several tracks, one normally would call these tracks, or a bundle of these tracks to the most important elements "a stem"
i.e. you songs might contain 5 "stems"
- vocals
- basslines
- leads
- percussion
- kick
In this way it's easier to get control over the individual elements than in 1 stereo mixdown.
so a stem can be a subgroup or an individual track (or any combination in between, whatever seperation is desired/needed)makes sense?
ofcourse when you take this all the way back on individual track level you basically have your song being mixed for you. |

Props for doing this Raphie. Not often do people donate their time for the sake of being generous :). |

Agreed, appreciate the opportunity!
I applied, my current project isn't quite ready yet but this would be a great incentive to go to town on it this week!
If it's literally first in first serve no reservations I could pump out a quick export but i'd much rather do some more work on it first :) |

little business advice.
when doing a contest, your strategy should be to sustain interest. By having a first filled strategy, you limit your contest and the marketing potential to about 8 hours. And despite your altruistic introduction, you could of given the same good while A, giving a more fair odd to others with different time schedules, B, increased your exposure and C, allowed more time for consideration making the end resulting track better ie your master reflect better ergo better marketing once again.
you've stated many spots have been filled. This means more than 2 , so there are 2 spots left. When reading this, everyone will assume it has been filled, you've lost the ability to have people add themselves to your mailing list ( add their choice for future promotions say ) and also pissed off people that just checked right now and feel the selection was not fair.
do it better next time.
and just to be picky
mention the company in the post
Your banner and logo are muddy and ugly. White text on a busy background with white lines.
You don't want that association of a mastering company and mud.
You would be better off with just simple letters that what you have there.
no clients , no examples .... not really inclined
blogs are important so that people go to your site regularly but your diva example is awful. Makes one wonder about your skill even if mastering might be a different ball park.
You are too anonymous. No phone number, no address, no country.
and your logo. Again. Just brutal. Spend 500$. Get someone to do it better. |

you know what?!?
I'll give away 2 more spots, call it the "USA timezone edition"
for all contact email timestamps starting NOW!:D
so gents from the other side of the Atlantic, 2 more spots to go.
And though M4B, though you do have a point about marketability, this is in this case genuinely not my goal. There are loads of people here who have not been earning jack from their digital releases, or have had rogue label managers slap ozone over their track before release on Beatport. This one is for them, to give them the full potential for their next release. Even more, it's for the hobbyist as well, who doesn't have the need to have anything professionallly done, but who's just curious to see what happens to his track.
I am currently working on a mailing list, with selfservice opt-in / opt-out but once that's fully working I will post a message to subscribe here. |
