Currently trialing these at the moment, although I don't really have the most trained ear yet, I was wondering if anyone else uses them?
Its got the EQ, a compressor and the gate.
Was reading somewhere that their EQ is not really good for the lower frequencies but that was just something I read on some comment, could have been some noob who likes Britney Spears.
Thanks :stongue: |

Sounds very familiar also but I can't remember the source :conf:
Anyway who ever it was I believe the point they were making was they preferred to use another eq for the bottom end for the way it would colour the sound and not because the other is crap (as they did still use it for other things). |

I've tried some of the Sonalksis plugins in the past and wasn't that impressed TBH, especially considering their price. For the same prices as the Essential mkII ($599), you can buy the entire FabFilter package (Pro-Q, Pro-L, Pro-G, Pro-C, Twin2, Volcano2, Timeless2, and the other synths and filters), or you can save $200 and buy their "Pro" package, which is currently on sale for $404 and includes Pro-Q, Pro-C, Pro-L, and Pro-G. FabFilter out-specs the Sonalksis bundle, plus it comes with a kickass limiter (Pro-L), better performance and interfaces IMO, etc. Be sure to demo them or at least watch some of the many vids on FabFilter's site before buying the Sonalksis bundle. |
