Aether (Draft mix) by S.Masuda

So I've been working on this track for a while, but I'm at that stage where I don't know whether all the tiny changes I'm making to the mix is changing anything or making it better or making it worse etc..
I feel like I have been going around in circles, and I just can't get happy with the mix.

So I need some fresh and hopefully better ears to have a listen to tell me what is wrong and what I can improve.
Of course any suggestions or comments on the composition and arrangement are welcome too.

I'll return ALL feedback, and I will give PROPER feedback (to the best of my ability)

So, let's help each other out here.

thanks!

Im liking this mate, nice balance between the hard and the soft

More work on EQ,id say esp the high end

Id have more sub in the low end mix too

Effects and levels sound ok, id maybe bring somthing new in around 1:24 to lift it up more into the breakdown

Great work, keep it up and do a mix down!

Can you please insert Embed Code from share link on the top left corner in your SC track, it would help you (and us) generate more traffic - convenience may get you more comments.

Thanks for the advice,
I've embedded the soundcloud player into my post!

Right from the beginning I have to tell you that I'm really impress and surprise after listening to your track, well overall arrange production with some level of maturity I could sense/hear in it. You are definitely one of few guys on TA site with sweet potential, still long way to go (don't worry, even for me too) but at list you know your direction and cool sense of melody and rhythm.

Cheers,

I like your melodic interplay, very intelligent. Mix sounds pretty good but I don't have the ears to be really forensic. Bass and kick seem really decent to me.

My track is up here now - called Bottox and it's the mix I really am not sure about. Never know if I'm being too fussy or not.

I'm not hearing anything wrong with it. This sounds like something Kysora would be into, honestly. I'd check him out, if I were you, as well:

Really well done. Sounds very complex and it's understandable you'd lose perspective on it. At this point, however, any adjustments you make can only be judged subjectively - well, by me, anyway. Really nice work, sir.
