An idea of mine was that I wanted a collection of jazz tunes that I could play
and manage to relax to. Once in every other chillout album there's a tune or two that
are really jazz-tinged. But digging into crates of jazz records isn't easy. There needed to be something in there that my chillout-ear would agree with. Taming the jazz lion isn't something easily done. Finding jazz that conforms to my ultimately
very simple jazz-tastes was hard. I have attempted to collect and compile masterly atmospheric jazz with amazing soundscapes and great melodies. That one track on that album, that one tune they played.
The rare few gems in between.
