We had an amazing hamster called Charlie. He was so stupid he never figured out how to use a running wheel, so he always had loads of energy that made him incredibly destructive and violent. He lasted quite a long time for a hamster, but sadly passed away this summer. My housemates and I buried him in the garden. There were a lot of times that hamster had us rolling around with laughter.

Hah, I knew you were a hamster fan :D

Lol, remember when srussell had that melt down and tried to claim he was baiting us the whole time, comparing us to Pavlov's dogs? Hahahahahaha oh man that was awesome.

Honestly, I just love animals. There are a lot of animals I never thought I'd give a about, but when I'm up close with one I get totally drawn in by them, they just put a smile on my face. I guess it comes from growing up in the countryside, we always had lots of animals and they're always all around you.

Yeah. He's a black labrador. I'm home now, actually, and he was so pleased to see me back, just wouldn't leave me alone for about an hour after I stepped through the door. I honestly can think of few greater pleasures in life than getting a great album or DJ mix on the headphones and taking the dog on a long walk in the country, especially if it's a really beautiful day, snowy or sunny. That's how I listened to 90% of my music as a teenager, had a massive impact on the kind of music I like. Basically everything I listen to today, all the mixes I make, the underlying criteria is it all sounds great for a long walk in some scenic countryside.

He's definitely the single best pet I've ever had, will cry my eyes out when he dies. But again, I totally love cats as well, I just haven't had one of my own for almost a decade now. When I was in Liverpool for the Cream Reunion I slept over at the guesthouse I used to live in when I worked there, and they had a wonderful black cat. Only about nine months old, still had a kittenish manic playful energy about it, and so friendly. It slept on my lap the whole night, and when I was on my phone the next morning it was stood on my chest, nuzzling up to my nose. Made me really nostalgic about having a cat, I'd forgotten just how great they are.

Huskies are really awesome if you have the energy for them. They need pretty constant mental/physical exercise or they get a bit neurotic, but they're so much fun to play with. Terrible guard dogs though. They love everybody.
