Here is my last set for 2011 and it's one I've been collecting the tracks for over the last couple of months or so. My aim was to make a very dreamy, euphoric yet not over-the-top set of house with lots of emotive melodies and an overall deep vibe.
It more or less picks off from where my last proggy mixes left off (I actually don't like calling it progressive house anymore, since Jack pointed out to me some very interesting things and I sort of had my own personal revelation about the subject).
I got to feature a bunch of Israeli producers which I'm personally happy about since I always enjoy supporting them. Guys like Lonya, Sahar Z and Guy Mantzur all made large breakthroughs this year IMO releasing some of the best material on some of the biggest labels within this category like Sudbeat, Stripped Recordings and Flow Vinyl.
I also got to include a young local from Montreal who goes under the name Richie G and has a remix of Luis Junior's BG from 2009 on Bedrock and also remixes by Jesper Dahlback and Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile (one of which I included here).
Overall I'm quite happy with this mix. Like some of my other mixes it may be more of a showcase of music rather than journey type of set, but as always I still try to incorporate as much of that feeling as I can.
Hope you guys enjoy! Feedback is always immensely appreciated:)

I enjoyed this Adam for the most part. Some of it was a bit plur (ok a lot of it), but it was mixed pretty well. it might just be me, but I would like to see something more than simple a to b mixing from you. you are at a point now where I think that just playing tunes and mixing well is not enough anymore. you have the flow down, the eq down....I would just like to see a little more from you on the creativity side from you in terms of mixing.
I know you will take this well, as I know you take this seriously. make these sets your own with the obvious skills that you have at mixing. 1+1=3 :)
good job bud, but progress:)

ps... the last track is a total ripoff of a big track I can't remember righ now. I used it in one of my mixes too...and the one I used ripped off the same track...I think it was on playhouse. damn booze and dance music.... this one was pretty blatant even if you had nothing to do with it.

haha I would be really curious to hear that one.
And I know what you mean about the mixing, but man I find there is just music that lends itself to more creative mixing than other kinds of music and this isn't really one of them.

What revelation was that?
I think I'll give this one a listen. Got some travelling to do shortly, so I'll have time to digest a two hour mix, and I owe you a listen or two.
