I mean so many people have their own bloody version...
Original version is Tim Buckley - Song To The Siren.
Other versions:
This Mortal Coil - Song To The Siren.
Ratty - Sunrise (Here I Am)
Vengeance - Song To The Siren
Lost Witness - Song to the Siren
Barakka - Song to the Siren
I mean why can the artist use the same vocals for.
aren't their copyright laws. |

Just off the top of my head - obviously there is some type of open copyright for SO many people using the vocals. I can't see 6 differing artists all scamming from this one guy who cme up with the vocals. I guess it just shows how diverse and powerful the right 'voice' can be in a song. The different interpretations all spectacular, although the Vengeance mix is by far my favorite. Sends tingles down my spine. Now that song is old school Oakenfold style back in '99. Memories :)

Well the vocals/lyrics are pretty awesome.. so I aint complaining..
BTW anyone know if the three trance versions I've heard (Barakka, Lost Witness, Ratty) are sung by the same person.. cause the Ratty one at least sounds different.
PS - My favs probably Lost Witness - Song to the Siren (Tiesto Mix), or the part in the Ratty version.. where the vocals are sung. |

| Whoops, I knew Lost Witness - Did I Dream (Song to the Siren) and Barraka - Song to the Siren had the same vocals, but I never noticed they were in Ratty - Sunrise (Here I Am) as well. :p |

I have ratty sunrise and lost witness - song to the siren.
Ratty does not have anything about tim buckley written on it or who sang it. According to the back of the vinyl case on lost witness Tracy Carmen sang the vocals. So if anyone can figure out who actually sang the other two, we can have this nailed~ |

the fade version is quite nice too, which uses the same vocals samples as the lost witness version.
the vengence one is nice! especially the praha mix. |

The Vocals seem the same but they are sung by different people.
The "Tim Buckley" and the "This Mortal Coil" version use the vocals by Elisabeth Fraser
Lost Witness - Song to the siren uses vocals by Tracy Carmen
The Barakka and Vengeance version uses vocals by Claire Pearce |

| The Vengeance one is by far the best, I love how it just creates a tranquil mood. And it has the best vocals of them all :) |

It means that Vengence did a great job programming the vocals underlying the basslines and synths.
No doubt about it.... Vengence - Song to the Siren is the best produced version out there...this version is also known as Lost Witness - Did I dream (Fable Remix) on Oakenfold's Travelling CD.
Also, the Vengence version is the hardest to obtain on 12". It was only released in Limited Numbers on Conception Records with Praha Remix on the flip.
Vengence did the job that none other remix can surpass...even for Tiesto's remix (runner-up).
The rest are just crap to my ears....poor programming and useless inovations that deserve a hall of shame. |

| I'm not sure about the other versions of this track but the Max Graham remix of Barraka's - Song to the Siren is pretty decent. |
