With a career spanning 18 years, LOUIS OSBORNE is nowhere near a newbie, even if Los Angeles doesn't know him as much as they should. Starting with a residency at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza by replacing Steve Lawler, and other residencies like at Ibiza super-clubs Amnesia and Cream, Birmingham techno mecca House of God and U60311 in Frankfurt, you begin to get an idea of the appeal many hold for Osbourne's DJ skills.
In terms of production, he started Mija in 2008 and since then, has had a mixture of well-established artists and fresh new talent to Stacey Pullen, Jamie Anderson, Alan Fitzpatrick, Fish Go Deep and Android Cartel have all put out tracks on his imprint. This is on top of his productions with Jamie Anderson like their remix of Jon Gurd’s ‘Stamp’ which made big waves in in 2010, and in early 2011 the Osbourne & Anderson remix of Tube & Berger ‘Fog Head’ held fort in the Beatport charts for what seemed like forever, making it the biggest selling record on Neurotraxx Deluxe this year.
But then again, none of his success in music should be a surprise, as he is the son of the so-called Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. This only proves music is in his genes, blood & veins, and the only difference is his chosen genre is amazing cutting edge House & Techno. Oh and he doesnt bite heads off of bats.
