Hope it is of use, seasons greetings.

Hi there well for a musician it sure is a terrible time when a drive goes down.:sadgreen:

Those Integral SATA copy stations are excellent, I use them here and it is a great feeling to know you have a SATA system drive ready with all your software authorizations on to literally plug in and get back to where you were. No messing about with backup/ imaging software etc. Just bung the drive in and you are off. With hard drives it's a matter of when not if they are going to fail.

All the best for 2012.

This made me laugh. A lot. I might have to use that for one of my unruly customers.

theres a good post about number 4 on gearslutz... its in here somewhere - http://www.gearslutz.com/board/tips...techniques.html

not convinced by number 7 at all - very vague. can't see a dynamic mic adding 'warmth' A better pre might be the way forward instead. and double micing something will add phase issues if your not careful.

a better general tip for recording might be to ensure the room your recording in is treated correctly and that you can squeeze the best out of the talent involved by making them comfortable (decent headphone mix, warm room, regular cups of tea etc).

I laughed too. I mean make fun of something realistic. Trolling 101. Honestly dude, I get why you are so pissed , I would be too trying to do what I do and failing miserably. But I think we've established on a weekly basis that I'm brilliant. Annoying, ya I suppose if you were not quite so awesome , dick, sure , but I mean calling someone that is , well , I mean really just better at everything you could possibly ever want to do or know, it is silly. Maybe try a little harder next time. Put some effort, some wit, something that would make it sting. You cuss like fat tween gaming dork.
