Nice! :D

I've flown to Montreal on multiple occasions for $106 each way. It sure as hell beats VIA rail business class for $124 and takes a fraction of the time.

add in checking in to airport, drive from PET to downtown Mtl, you don't save that much time flying

I'd prob still go with megabus for Mtl (last year we went for $55/person) BUT for NYC trips I think I'll def stick with Porter - I remember after EZ I was literally on my couch in 1 hour or so! 40-45 min flight, quick cab ride back to my downtown place, compared to 11 hours on the bus, amazing and worth every penny of $400

I know, right!!!! Wasn't that amazing?! I did the same thing for Electric Zoo this year. I will never take the bus down.

I wish Porter flew into LGA or JFK. Such a pain to get to Newark from our place.

I don't mind taking the bus when I can get it for $1.

I agree. But when something delays VIA, you are stuck on the train forever. I've never had just a short delay on the train and that stretch between TO and Mtl is notorious for track issues.

I like Porter a lot and usually fly with them a few times a year. However Christmas never seems to go smoothly. Once they had to fly my bags on a separate plane to pearson and they were delivered 3 days later. Another year, mechanical issues cancelled the flight and I had to stay in the halifax airport hotel (ok because I got drunk with one of the trailer park boys, but missed a day of work).

This year, there was a minor delay, but most obvious was how badly they need to build a pedestrian bridge to the island and expand the front parkade/pick up area. At this time of year it is chaos down there particularly with Air Canada flying out of the island as well.

we flew out on Christmas eve and it was madness on the check in area - for some reason someone decided that 2 people working the US counters was enough - they had people rushing to check in 5 minutes before their flight
funny enough the bag drop off line was even worse - so totally sucked for people who checked-in online

otherwise after that it was all clear skies, we even left on time I think
