Long ago a bought the tranceport cd by Paul Oakenfold. Last week when I was in london, I bought transport4 by max graham.

Now I was wondering if these are albums from the same colllection because tranceport seems to end at the 3rd edition, end trasport seems to begin @ 4.

But why then change the name??

I dunno why. Maybe so people would get the double meaning more
Tranceport
Transport
I dunno. Don't really matter. Yeah they are from the same series?
Does anyone know if there are ever gonna be any more Transports?
Kinde
I guess they wanted to distance themselves a little bit from trance since with Transport 4 they were going into a more progressive direction... I mean Tranceport 1 was full of trance anthems but the latest cd's are basically all progressive...

here is the real reason....the first 3 albums were considered 'trance'...but when max graham did his part of the series it was defientely progressive, so the couldnt label it 'trance'...hence the 'trans' part, which was the closest they could get with out losing the famous name of the series

yep. right on.

you could argue that max graham's discs were still trance (oakie, dave ralph, and sandra collins' discs are similar), but the latests two from quivver and trendroid are 100% progressive house.

just a natural evolution of the forefront of this sort of music...
