I'm looking to push a sound "wide". I can't find something comparable to the Reason Stereo Imager. Where is it and what is it called?

I am soooo impressed with Ableton, my VST's and the sounds that its capable of. I've been missing out.. I just started this tonight and so far have (I think) all the sounds and riff I want.. just need to lay out the song... But damn!! how incredible!!!!
as long as you are happy. To be honest, The synth sounds horrendous. You've highpassed it way too much. It sounds like a mosquito. Given the tracks you've expressed interest in, the tracks are pretty minimal much like a rock band. That lead is your vocal. Why are you gutting it. And widening ? have you ever heard a main vocal being tricked out ala hass. The more you eq, processs , widen , the smaller you make it.
I mean do you really need anyone to tell you this. Listen to a track you like , now yours. Now be honest with yourself. The problem is that the second you think it is incredible, well you aren't going to make it better, and since it isn't incredible in anny way, well you've ed yourself by some sort of messed up self hype hypnosis.
you are learning. and its cool you like ableton but don't bull yourself.

what are you trying to get wide? the mix, in post production? good luck. if you want a wide sound, design your synths properly. one nice synth with a beautifully programmed chorus effect will widen your mix nicely.
