thinkin of goin back to school but here are my thoughts:
1: i think it's pointless getting a grad degree from a school, if i do pursue it it'll have to be at least from a top 10 school.
2: even tho the place i currently work at does cover tuition, i'd have to go part-time, meaning it'll take much longer plus i'm tied to the company for that time period, not something i want (i don't like the work or the place anymore and am lookin to move on, plus going part-time would mean NO life whatsoever outside of school+work, so i want to go full time). so basically if you combine these two points, you have a) a very expensive school to which i go full time, and b) the opportunity cost of the lost salary. did some research and it comes out to around 250K. i'm not some rich so will have to take on loans, so if i dont get a job (and a good paying job at that) after b-school, i'm royally ed.
what do ppl here have to say? there are 1 or 2 intelligent ppl here that i know of, pls contribute :D |

| I don't see it necessary, but my parents constantly stress to me that I should get one. I met a lot of pretty important business people while I was in Atlanta talking with the higher ups at Coca-Cola, and none of them mentioned having an MBA, they all talked about their engineering/finance/english degrees and talked about how they got where they were through their efforts in business rather than learning generic concepts behind them in a classroom. |

i'm talkin abt a grad degree here, not an associate's. and i seriously doubt there's any online university that's worth the time or the money. |

don't know wtf you're on but i did a double degree in comp sci. and comp. engr., got out with a 3.8 GPA. currently i work at an IB writing software for risk systems, so an MFE is in fact another option.
i love tho, and the good stuff doesn't come cheap. so i kinda have to be greedy naw'm sayin' |
