Yes, I could have PM'd this, but I thought I'd give some credit in public and hopefully bring a little more exposure to the mix.
How was Stereo for C & C ? A bunch of us went for D-formation on NYE and it was Really off. Easily one of the most boring sets I have ever heard him play, style was very different from what he normal plays, stayed a few hours and decided to call it, never went anywhere. A track here, a track there. MEhhhhh. For all the solid sets he's played there, eventually one will be a flop. Disappointed, but NYE is over rated anyways. Happy New year to all.

D-Form was terrible. I liked maybe 1.5 hours of it, but that's spread over a 9 hour set. A track here, a track there. The best it got was 20 solid mins in the morning. At the afterparty, I forbade anyone from even mentioning his name. I'm on #6 of disappointing nights in a row at Stereo (due to the music), and am having a pretty hard time convincing myself to go back.
Several of the friends I went with that night also went to C&C. Said it was blindingly good, absolutely amazing. Even the security was dancing. Faaahhk :whip:

Exactly! ... D formation was fukin horrible new years eve ...maybe he figured everyone was too drunk to notice the set he delivered ... i have thoroughly enjoyed his stereo sets in the past, but this was a big time snooze-fest ... and at $50, ugh!
The exact opposite can be said for C&C ... they tore the roof off stereo ... it felt like the old stereo ... awesome vibe, everyone was hyped up and into it ... the upstairs was packed with people dancing, the floor was obviously packed too ... just a great night overall, which made up for D formation's craptactular NYE ...
DAY 1 for the win!!! :)

day 1 is usually the better day from what i can remember. martinez bros 2 years ago on january 1st was amazing.

Yeah that was my exact thoughts....spent the whole night, ok....where is this going!? It's now 8 am and I'm still waiting. Who knows maybe he got zapped and wanted to enjoy himself for NYE. Spent $75 too....Did anyone see John Creamer's set ??
