Is the DJM-800 the way to go?

I have a perfectly working Pioneer DJM-3000, bought it in 2003. Been a real workhorse, but I want something new. Of course the DJM-800 has kind of been an industry standard the last few years - should I go that route? I only ask because new gear comes & goes so quickly I just want to make sure I'm not over looking some great mixer that came along in the last little while; one that I should at least have a look at before making up my mind...

I loved my DJM3000 until the faders started giving in and then I purchased the DJM 800 several years ago. However, if I had to buy a mixer now, I would purchase the DJM 900 NEXUS or A&H DB4 or the DB2 when it comes out in a few months. I rarely use any effects anymore except for the filter which the DB2 has way better ones than the pioneer.

Martinez and I might be the only ones that love the Tascam x9... it boots up an OS for crying out loud! :p
