Why do I tear when I listen to it?
At first I was a little so-so about this song, but I just listened to the full rip at a good volume in my headphones and started thinking... This song brings back memories, times that have and had not happened...Sounds dorky I know, but that's trance to me. |

| I think the better question is "If Ligaya means happiness then why is everyone so unhappy with it?" :D |

I don't think that many people flat out hate the track, I think the negative opinions are backlash for all the hype to a certain extent.
*I* don't think the track is in the league of the two great Gouryella tracks (Gouryella and Tenshi) but I still think it's solid, and a track that should only improve through remixing. |

| Alot of older trance does have melancholy sound, like ayla tracks, etc... those all where very sad sounding, but great, because there emotional tracks, there good. I find ligaya to be pretty good, better than most stuff, but not a rare star in the sky or anything like that...that would be more like cafe del mar, and tracks like that. |

I dunno why people bash on Ligaya. As a song of itself, it's good!
I've come to this dissertation however...the song is NOWHERE near Gouryella quality. It's ALL Ferry Corsten with no hint of Gouryella epic-ness
Listen to the structure of the track and it's baseline. Typical FC intro-long ass sweeping break-gradual buildup and those really overused yet still cool synths...
Again. It's a good song. It's not Gouryella though. |
