I remember this one retired couple that spent the winter months on cruises. They were from Toronto area but had a winter home in Florida. They would rent their Florida place in the summer and they rented the basement of their toronto home year round. They would spend one month in florida, go cruising for three months and then spend another month in florida before heading back to toronto.

I went on a cruise for spring break one year. I think I payed around $400 for an inner room with no balcony. I personally like cruises better than flights somewhere for various reasons.

A) It's a floating city. You can walk around and eat to your hearts content. As well as swim, play sports, work out, lay-around.

B) Food/"Hotel" is all inclusive. Unless you want to eat at a fancier place on the boat.

C) You just want to relax and feel like you have no responsibility as you float toward your destination.

That's my take on cruises. Not to say I won't travel somewhere like Austria some day, but if you just want to get away and be pampered for a few days its the way to go.

Holy a Kentuckian. I used to live in Morehead, KY where I went to school about a year and a half ago.

I highly doubt it is possible. Also, good luck getting weed onto the boat from shore. All bags go through a scanner and some cruise lines actually have drug sniffing dogs. You are better off not taking the risk of being jailed in some foreign country.

With interior rooms expect sea sickness to be worse. Having a window to look out or a balcony to go out on definitely helps with the sea sickness. Also, you would be surprised at how much time you will actually spend in your room.

considering that I've been on all inclusive cruises, you saying that they don't exist is kind of bull. you spend so much time in your room because you are old and fat and a leafs fan:p

youngins don't go on vacation to lie down in their room eating bonbons while reading Michael crighton novels.

I've yet to find a cruise line that offers alcohol in an all inclusive price. Last year I was shocked to find out that even coffee and pop wasn't included in the price unless you got it in the dinning rooms.

Actually, I spend so much time in my room because I was busy banging the wife.

this is why a proper travel agent is still better than booking yourself. at the time for 300 added to the trip they sold you a drink alcohol card, meaning unlimited anything you want other than magnums of champagne. for 500 you got the alcohol and fine dining package. regent seven seas and norweigan both offer it. travel agents book groups so get more incentives for their clients than a simple web deal.
