Whatever. He's full of , and he knows it. He just did a New Year's Day show at Fontainebleau of all places, where GA was $138 once you add in the -you charge. Tables were going for thousands.
He's just mad that Ultra probably told him to get bent when he wanted too much money to play a ty pre-recorded set. |

good point...i can see where he is coming from tho...i was pretty much over Ultra a few years back.....this year a bunch of noobs want to go, so im going just for them |

A lot of people have brought up the Fontainebleau as a counter-point but its the Fontainebleau. I still haven't gone to a show at LIV, Arkadia, and Fontainebleau yet. Why? Because it's overpriced and pretentious.
Remember Sander van Doorn's "Dusk til' Doorn?" $200 for what some said was a 3-4 hr show.
It's just a magnet for overpriced . People go there to be seen and spend tons of money. Obviously not EVERYONE, but I'm sure a high percentage are just rich douches.
Prices are set by the place running the show, in this case LIV/Arkadia/Fontainebleau. Tables are tables. I mean aren't they expensive anywhere in SoBe, but more so at the aforementioned places.
Prices for ULTRA are out of hand. Thank god I got mine early-bird, but what the is up with that service charge. I mean dear lord GA tickets now are $299 plus service charge. Which the total price people are reporting as 400-500 dollars for GA. Why not just include it in the price. It's like a resort fee at a hotel in Vegas. $15 per day for 2 bottles of water, unlimited internet, daily newspaper, and so on. What do we get from the Ultra service charge? Expensive water that you have to pay for? |

but the artists, or management can choose not to be booked there if they care so much about what the consumer is paying......so its a valid counter-point |

regardless of his reasoning he is actually right. never really liked deadmau5 but im glad hes atleast speaking his mind. id like to see the video but cant find it.. did he take it down?

So wait, let me get this right...
He tells everyone that going to Ultra more than one time is a waste, because it's the same thing every year and that it's basically a rip off. YET, he'll probably have his own show during WMC, like SHM, that probably will charge the same amount equal to one day of Ultra, so he can play the same songs he's been playing for four years?

That's even worse. I tried to track down the video for you and indeed it has been taken down. Not only that but read this:

Hahaha, oh wow. Jesus, these guys are pathetic. I bet Ultra and his management team got together. Now he just looks like a punk bitch who does what he's told to do.
Ultra is like the Gestapo. About a week or two ago some guy and I posted something on their forum thread and they promptly deleted it.

I watched Joels video. The remarks he made were in an upfront non bashing mostly professional way. He made great points. Everyone has thought it, props to him for saying it. |
