all those suckers on Raremusicfinder have had NO RMF in the last month... so even if they wanted to talk about TA, they couldn't cos there was NO forum...hehehehehhe :D

Slow interface? How so? the cgi scripts are just a simple http header redirect straight to where the file is at, it's not meant to stop linkstealers since you can get the url anyways, it's meant as a means to have a centralized location where the path to the file/server is stored.
I didn't know GetRight ignores "302 temporary document redirects" - I think I'm going to email them because it's kind of pathetic that it doesn't - your browser does, so they should too... This is, of course, after you bypass their 'rule' that ignores all /cgi-bin/ paths and ANY url with a ? in it.. stupid.. even when I set up apache aliasing go to http://tranceaddict.com/redir/file_to_download and have it then map to songout.pl.cgi it doesn't matter.... Tomorrow I'll try gozilla and see if it works better -- nobody has complained of this till now so I had no clue.
As for all the other sites you listed there, none of them have as much available for download as I do, they usually post up mixes for a couple of weeks tops, after that you gotta go on napster looking for it, also, none are MyPlay.com affiliates (so no copy to locker buttons), and none bother with Music Videos because they're a huge resource hog.

Well I certainly don't hate TA, this site's honestly been one of the main influences on the creation of Rare Music Finder, and though now I am busy working on my own site, I do come here often too to get stuff that are only offered in TA. This sites's been linked numerously in my site, including one of the "Link of the day" in the old forums we used, because this site fully deserved it.
I'd just like to express my humble apologies if you guys thought we all hate TA at RMF, because that is definitely not so. However, I cannot control everyone's opinions and thoughts, hey everybody is different and has different thoughts, loyal members here probably are loyal here because they think TA is the best, loyal members in my site are loyal because they think RMF is best, and the same with other trance websites. I hope you guys understand my point of view, and I personally wish Swamper best of luck as always in keeping up a fantastic website. :)

This is an all round great site!
And its fantastic for all the reasons people mentioned above.
My two attractions are:
#1 Guarenteed solid downloads, everytime.
#2 Community. The forums are rockin at this site. I've only been here a short while, but I love it. People are great here and its a wicked mix of discussion, help, advice, and fun.
Swamper, keep doing what you're doing, by far this is one of the best sites around. Thanks. |

What I don't understand is why people bother to bash stuff they get for free? Like, HELLO!? I don't understand it...
Peeps always want more and more and more, ah well...
In the end the people who help contribute to the site will benefit most... cuz eventually site will be all php driven and linked to forums, and those that participate/been around a long time will get rewarded and get access to a load more stuff than the others get to see...

Hey you're right they don't catch clicks but you can do what i usually do.
Open the Getright window and set it to "always on top" (to do that, right-button click on the window bar and choose always on top).
then drag the link of whatever file u want to download from the site onto the getright window. It will automatically show u a save window (with something like cgi-bin.out.whateva) but don't bother rename it since it will do so automatically.
did u get all that? |
