Official Announcement.

Unfortunately due to the current Music scene globally Indigo Records will be closing its doors for good in March of 2012...
Despite this being one of the Hardest decisions of my life I see no other option as the Music Industry is currently in such a state that it is impossible for any Musical format to succeed let alone an Independent EDM label.

I would like to thank all our fans and Hard working Artists for all there efforts and time over the past 3 years and wish you the very best of luck with your Musical careers.

On a further note, we will be honouring all currently pending releases and selling off our most popular releases so that your Music dies not end with the closing of the Label.

All the best,
Mike Watkins

one less progressive label is definitely a shame, they have some very nice stuff. i was following them for a while, pretty sure some drama happened a few times around there.

cant really blame them, sales suck, tracks are undervalued, its not the vision people have to nurture their artists with. thankfully their artists will be releasing elsewhere still, so its not that bad ;)

yea and I've been seeing a lot of good new quality prog labels start up lately so it's not as if everything is going in that direction. Regardless like you said, people still want to make music because it's what they love doing and they want it to be out there for others. Indigo is a decent label, I definitely wouldn't say top 10 for prog but probably top 25. Too bad, they released some nice music. Haven't really bought any though save for one or two tracks.

Maybe they just need 3 years like Indigo did to realize that running an indipendent EDM label today is not going to make you money. It's the business model that is broken, but who is going to take a shot at fixing it?
