Fire & Ice are probably the top of the game in the emotional genre. Airbase - Escape and in general all the Airbase tracks should be taken into account.

This ranks up there amongst my favourite 'emotional' pieces.......

I've always seemed to enjoy Ronny K's stuff.

Emotional would be an understatement."Dark Blue" is powerful! Cabala aka Nick Muir is the other half of Bedrock. Also check out Nemo "Spacemaker" for some more bangin' progressive.
Syntonic
This track always pops in my head when I think of emotional trance.
Also check out Cosmic Baby - Fantasia (Celestial Harmonies), might be more emotional to some. I love em both.

thats so EASY!
I would have to say Markus Schulz "Without You Near" :)

I never really understood why emotional is supposed to equal good. I listen to euphoric trance, because of the futuristic atmosphere. There are many eurotrance and j-trance tracks that to me sound like a full out embrace of technology.
I don't get that feeling when listening to other types of music, not even techno. The embracal of technology found in techno comes of as a bit too ironic, but in euphoric trance, that embrace feels genuine.
Here's a track that contains that expression that I'm talking about:
Or maybe I'm just vomiting bull on my keyboard, but this is how I've always interpreted things...

might be a personal thing, but this track hits me like none other i've heard. arty can produce all the farty bass nonsense he wants but as long as he produced this he's okay in my book:

This a nice and pleasant piece, but is not trance.
My turn...
This is one of the most melancholic pieces in my library.

What on Earth is "emotional trance" supposed to mean?
