1. Reverse programming was so off for the night. There was no "warming up" in their set. Some rough mixing, too. I've heard them play great in the past, though. Have to stay focused on the slot they are playing in the night, who is after them, etc.
2. Austin Leeds was decent, better than I expected. Some duller parts to the set, though. Never seemed to really get the crowd. Overall, I personally liked it....maybe just a tough crowd.
3. Whlle I didn't stay for all of PvD's set, what i heard was pretty good and better than I expected. He definitely did a good job of getting the crowd energized. There was a lack of enthusiasm in the crowd's roar when he came on and started off with Time of Our Lives. Within a few tracks, though, you could really see the the crowd getting excited and the energy really skyrocketing.

not from me :), but i did notice a large portion of the dance floor not really dancing for most of the night
'em, paul really threw down. much better than the last 3 or 4 times I've seen him (during his "phaser or flanger between every song" phase)

Are you serious? That's really odd. I often see the whole place jumping for some unknown DJs. And now PVD is one of the most popular DJ in SF, and people paid $70 to get in and stand around?
I was at Mezzanine for Dirtybird; only paid $5. The whole place was jumping from 10pm to 3am. Not sure if it has to do with it. I remember a few month ago, when Dirtybird had their party, it was Sasha spinning at Ruby Skye. Friends told me that it was unusually quiet over there. It looks like Mezzanine specifically schedules Dirtybird parties to go head to head with Ruby Skye's super headliners.

From where I was on the floor, we all were jumping around and dancing through out the set. To me this was one of PVD's best sets in a long time due to the energy and TRANCE that he was playing. There was no experimental electro sounds, well okay there was a one minute of some dup step but other than a CLASSIC PVD set.
I knew it would be special when he started the set with "Time of Our Lives" which is normally reserve as his closing track.. lol
Love all the classics sprinkled through out his set, instead of just at the end like usual.
Also, his new tracks from the album are great! I can't wait to get my hands on them.
OVERALL, 9 out 10
Minus 1 point for only playing 2.5 hours.
Definitely would pay $70 again for a show like this!!!

PVD & Austin Leeds - Verano (club mix) mashed up with something else. I hated the original of this track but absolutely love this remix / mashup

played 3.5 in LA, also started with same song, im sure he played the same set with an extra filler of 1 hour ;)
im sure ruby will charge that amount again since people are willing to pay it. LA was $20 to start, but you did get reverse, and la got steve castro, so i understand the $50 difference.

he began with time of our lives in all 4 cities. Chicago, NYC, San Fran, and LA. I went to the last three and his sets were all a little different. Compared to 2003 when he was touring for reflections he mixed it up quite a bit
The NYC set was the more trancey out of the three but LA was much harder and better to me personally
