"I was sitting at my iPad thinking like your regular music consumer and I'm staring at the same still shot of the front cover of the album I'm listening to, and I realized that we have the technology at hand, so why not bring something more on the video side, and not just the audio side?"
...
Originally slated for a 2011 release, the album will now debut March 20, 2012. "After we came up with this video concept, we pushed it back because we wanted to do it right and wanted it to mean as much to the people who watched it as it does to us."
lame. no one cares about music videos unless they have been done properly. see the following for good examples:
infusion - Love and Imitation
Justice - Audio Video Disco

You just answered your own question. They wanted to concentrate on the videos more.

He wants there to be more videos, let him have more videos.
Btw, that picture of PvD in the article looks seriously terrible.

I really want to like Paul van Dyk. However, if his album is anything like the following, then he is better off calling his album "Devolution " than "evolution".

That would indeed be better and actually a positive thing as one of the tracks I do like is one which brings up memories. That if this till now unknown track will be part of it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...d&v=q8ahD6sWaQU
Waiting for so long because of some video's is stupid if he already played some of the tracks.
Wake me up when their is something that's close to evolution in edm as I'm not expecting new exiting things at all.

A lot of people do actually. Serato now lets DJ's spin music videos as if they were regular MP3's. There's a ton of DJ's who are taking advantage of it and charging more for their services. Before you needed $5000 worth of equipment to achieve the same result you get now with Serato. That's one main reason why DVJ's are becoming extinct.
