Idiot Idols – Into The Stars Nosed Mole’s Hole EP
1) Into the Stars Noses Mole’s Hole
2) H7-25
3) H7-25 (Return to Iceland Remix)
Evoked Recordings is finally set to launch into the 2012 year with multiple releases in the techno, minimal, experimental, and nu-disco genres. This is Evoked Recordings first release and we wouldn’t want to start it any other way. We are fortunate to kick things off with the incredibly talented Idiot Idols.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with them or their music, now would be the time to become more intimate with them. The Idiot Idols are an Italian musical-project born by Igino Ottocento and Saverio Vetica. Their first contact was in 2009, when the duo began to share their demos with each other, trying to improve their work and re-interpretations in more different ways. Despite the complete difference about their original kind of music, they quickly began to blend and mix more stuff into a new single genre, driven by desire to play and harmony between them. Labeling their own music can be characterized, but not limited to the rhythmic virtuosity sound, expressing in a personal style with Electronic, Indie Disco, Techno, along with typical streaks of hypnotically psychedelic Kosmische Musik.
The first original track is “Into The Star Nosed Mole’s Hole”. When I first heard this tune, I was completely blown away. It is incredibly catchy with its techish house flavor and a hint of indie disco sound to it. The song is so infectious that you won’t want it to stop. The second original track is “H7-25”. This is a hypnotic minimal techno groove that you will not be able to turn off. You might even get lost in rhythm. The remix of “H7-25” introduces a new act; Return To Iceland. Half of Return To Iceland is Rysh Paprota and they provide a more techy-techno remix with a Blade Runner feel.
