| Haven't used ozone, not sure I will, but just wondering if these 2 guys serve similar purposes. Haven't really done any research on ozone so yeah... maybe I'll do that now. |

| Hey man - google is your friend, but in short, no. You are comparing apples and oranges. |

| One makes things louder, the other makes things more in your face. |

Vintage Warmer is a pretty decent compressor that also happens to have some nice saturation/distortion settings.
I never really got on with Ozone's exciters, I think they always sound harsh. Probably a user error. |

seems to be the consensus with everyone. i haven't heard one person say anything good about the ozone exciter |

| because people don't really know what they are doing. The m/s processing alone should stick out as something that could be rather useful. |

I do think the rest of it's useful, although I think I can get far better results with the Fabfilter Mixpack.
I just don't dig the exciter section. I don't think it's ever made anything sound better, although that could be me as you say. Maybe i'm exciting enough already. |

| I use PSP with good effect. Anything I need to give more balls, but I turn the drive down and the EQ flat, then add compression after that. But this guy is just getting his mixing and mastering turned around I think. PSP seems to make it louder, but it's just more harmonic content, I didn't think an "exciter" would do the same thing. I can't even think of a reason I'd use ozone. |

| Put it on the master before dynamics processing. Boost the the upper mids and highs to taste. |

| I don't touch the master, unless it's a PSP and a limiter for SoundCloud previews. I do have a mastering thread though, need to check that out soon. |
