| STUPID MEETINGS!!!! I didn't have a chance to check the forum or wantickets website until now and it's already $25 for both PVD and Ferry Corsten. dangit! |

| Think of it as you're only out the extra $5. I got my tickets just before Liquified posted and Ferry was already $25; maybe it started at $25. |

Isn't that all the more reason for Ruby Skye to be charging less? Austin Leeds and Reverse hardly have the brand power to command such high prices. Plus, the fact that Avalon is open longer should mean that Avalon charges the higher price. The bar is closed during the extended open hours, meaning Avalon doesn't really profit from staying open so late.
70$ is a price you pay for a 6 hour PVD set, but even thats not a fair price today given Paul's status has (sadly) fallen considerably since the whole dubstep rage began.
My guess is that Ruby is charging premium prices because this is their anniversary party and they want to keep it a classy affair and are assuming that the exorbitant entry prices will keep the riff-raff ravers away. |

my guess is that the SV/SF area isn't doing to bad economically right now so people will pay the ticket price? ruby's ticket pricing has been increases 10-20 per month for the last couple months, and since they keep selling out i don't think they see a reason to stop.
it's greed. |

I meant that with the clubbing crowd of the 90's/early 2000s having grown up and with the music having evolved, the excitement for a PVD party isn't quite what it used to be.
I know the DJ Mag rankings are a farce in terms of actual talent, but they do indicate popularity and Paul fell outside the top 10 this year. Basically, my argument is that 'I'm surprised to see the high price after considering the points I just made.' Ruby charged a lower price for Tiesto, who is a far bigger draw and always sells the place out.

You sure? I was looking at the ticket prices for some of the other events at the Skye and they seemed to be pretty decent.
Emery - 25$ ; Marco V - 20$ ; Arty - $30 are all pretty reasonable prices. |
