Breezy Bliss

“Bringing Breezy Nights and the Bliss of Electronic Dance Music From Ibiza to San Diego and Back.”

Guest DJs:

Johnny Yono
(Armada, Enhanced- LA)

Falling formerly under the very short-lived moniker 'Johnny Y', American DJ/Producer Johnny Yono was a late bloomer within the Electronic Dance Music community. Born and raised in a suburb outside of Detroit, Michigan -- his passion for electronic music began in the late 90's when he was sucked in to Detroit's underground rave scene. It wasn't until years later that he started to experiment with producing his own music but, strictly as a hobby. After parting ways with his rock band in 2000, he was bit by the acting bug and further pursued a TV/Film career in Los Angeles after heading out West in 2003.

His love for electronic music found it's way back to him in 2007 after seeing live performances by Sasha and Digweed, Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. As his acting career was placed on the back-burner, Johnny quickly put a small studio together and began constructing dance music pieces and slowly developed his signature emotionally-Trancey, Progressive House sound.

As a DJ -- Johnny is certainly one to keep an eye on behind the decks. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in EDM including Roger Shah, Lange, Kyau & Albert, Tritonal and Thomas Bronzwaer. His heart-pumping sets consisting of carefully chosen tunes and overall physical presence and energy keeps the crowd alive at his fingertips. His mixes have been featured on podcasts and radio shows broadcast on DI.FM, AH.FM and Pure.FM. In the opening months of 2010, he cemented himself as a resident DJ at the famous Circus Disco in Hollywood.

His music has been supported by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, M.I.K.E., BT, Paul Oakenfold, Marco V, Sean Tyas, Roger Shah, Jochen Miller, Lange, Ashley Wallbridge, Ronski Speed, Lemon & Einar K, tyDi, Bobina, Robbie Nelson, Mr. Pit, Max Graham, Ruben de Ronde, Flash Brothers, Noel Sanger, Kenneth Thomas, Fred Numf, Breakfast, Kristina Sky and more.

You can catch his monthly radio show, "White Light Sessions" on Pure.FM every 4th Friday of the month [11 a.m. PST | 2 p.m. EST | 19:00 GMT | 20:00 CET].

He is certainly one to watch out for in the coming years!

Arran Lee
(Subtraxx-UK)

Arran Swales is a DJ and producer from Leeds, England, who has been making a name for himself in Ibiza and the UK over the past few years and is now well placed and ready to move on to bigger and better things.
Arran initially found himself drawn into the club scene through his love of trance and could regularly be seen at some of the UK’s leading night’s nights such as Gatecrasher in Sheffield and Promise in Newcastle. Realising he was into the scene for more than just a night out, it wasn’t long before Arran was buying his own vinyl and his passion was growing, his tastes evolved and expanded, and he started playing out at house parties and local nights, quickly developing a loyal following that encouraged him to go further.
By the summer of 2007 Arran was playing regularly in Ibiza with frequent gigs at The Orange Corner. Following this he went about setting up his own events back home in Leeds and to this end, late 2008 saw Arran run a series of parties at Bar Home, where he hosted DJ’s such as former Godskitchen resident AJ Gibson. It was working with AJ that Arran uncovered his next project, to move the parties to legendary Leeds venue Stinky’s Peephouse, which included a party featuring Judgement Sundays Ibiza resident Vicky Devine.
2008 saw his first track receive plays out in the main room of Ibiza super club Eden, and a third successful season on the White Isle was completed in 2009, playing guest slots at venues such as Kanya, Café Paradiso and BN3 for Tiesto’s pre-party events.
The summer of 2010 saw him take a big step forward in Ibiza, as weekly resident of new house music brand Clinik every Sunday at the new 400 capacity V Club in San Antonio, in addition to a weekly residency at The Orange Corner, playing an extended 3 hour set every Monday afternoon.
Around this time he began a weekly radio show entitled Music Therapy on Ontario, Canada based station Danceradio, which, after receiving positive feedback from listeners and station management, was moved to a more prestigious slot just prior to the first anniversary show in July 2011. Post-Ibiza, in November 2010 he became monthly resident for Tranceology in Birmingham, England, and made his debut in mainland Spain with gigs in Burela and A Coruña, as well as his Japanese debut, playing at the Studio Forum in Tokyo.
Early 2011 saw him continue his residency for Clinik with a gig in London at acclaimed Clapham venue Inigo in addition to making his debut in the United States in Rochester, NY at Decibel Lounge before resuming Ibiza duties in May and, in November, making his debut on the West Coast of the USA for a gig that was so well received, he has been invited back in February 2012.
After a break from production, he is back with a string of tracks including a track on Subtraxx Records, a sub-label of the famous Belgium based label Bonzai, called Saw You Coming which was released in October 2011 and was included on a Nukleuz compilation, and his first vocal track, a collaboration with US based vocalist Michelle Richer, which is due for release in early 2012 on the same label.
He added a second radio show to his portfolio in September 2011, as host of the Clinik Sessions weekly on New York based Sense FM, Wheee FM, Ibiza World Radio and Northern Underground
Arran’s musical style is constantly evolving and draws upon a range of styles and influences, with his upbeat and accessible sets of high quality electronic dance music ensuring that everyone who witnesses him perform eagerly awaits his next tour of deck duty.
As Arran says
“I have never played tracks that I don't personally like, preferring to simply play tracks which have the elements in them that I like, and of course, those which best suit the crowd in front of me”
