| Nice and succinct.. I remember an interview with Maynard (don't judge me) talking about this and something he said kind of stuck with me it was "we're all pretty much made from the same stuff, so if something moves you it's going to move somebody else" so basically you'll always have your little niche if you are honest with what you feel. Just a matter of getting it to your audience |

| Another good piece of advice is listen to more music outside of EDM, i heard a somone say once, You are in EDM what you listen to outside of it, i think this is true |

I'm stunned that this would be news to anyone. |

| ii love the how he phrases it in terms of failing. I think that rather intentional. Saying the truth in a positive way is not easy. |

It is good advice and this goes back to exactly what i just said in the "2012 resurgence of trance" thread - people that make music for the wrong reasons, make music.
I find it kind of funny though that the man who won "caner of the year", several years in a row (with truly epic/hunter S Thompson drug consumption forays) is saying don't do too many drugs, lol. There's one story of him trying to get to a gig somewhere in england, on a train and he's so wasted he can never tell what station he's at and just kept travelling the breadth of the country, back and forth, all day long. |

| I like how he specifically said don't do too many drugs. Not don't do drugs. |
