do you listen to it?
what do you like?
house, breaks, dnb, techno, whatever subgenre is popular by you......
i'm kinda curious to see if there are a lot of ppl on this board who are solely into trance (and why or if they've been exposed to other genres) or if you listen to many genres of electronic, how do you mix it up? |

| I listen to progressive more than trance nowadays. John Digweeds MMII and Satoshi Tomiie's Nubreed 006 are in my rotation a lot. I still pop in Politics of Dancing once in a while. I also like breaks...but I'm not really into them that much. I really like Hybrid's productions, especially their CD, Wider Angle, I consider it the best CD I've ever owned. |

i have to agree with all the djs you've listed, although i haven't seen hybrid live yet and i think i have only heard a few tracks.
have you seen satoshi yet? we are very fortunate in ny that he has a bi monthly residency in a very tiny venue with a very decent sound system.
i love many genres; i go the craziest over breaks but that really depends on my mood. |

| I think trance has finally been knocked down a notch as far as my favorite genre. IT took 3 years but its happened. Im now way more into trancey breaks, breaks , and prog trance. I think its because those producers try to be different and not stick to the norm. |

| ever since i got this Masters_At_Work-Our_Time_Is_Coming-2CD-RETAIL-2002, i've been stuck listening to it. I should look into MAW more. Tend to listen to a lot of progressive trance/house and breakz these days. kinda fading out of the trance spotlight just like Exponent said. I tend to find myself listening to the material that would take time to adjust to. :) |

I still listen to trance...but I guess you could call it classic trance...from 96-2000. A select few tunes from 2001 and 2002 I listen to as well, but very rarely.

1) Tek-house / techno: Ken Ishii all the way!!! My favourite style after trance (I can listen to trance a whole day long, but not techno). Did you guys know that the word Techno comes from the greek word for ART?
2) Drum'n'Braz: Marky and DJ Patife are nice... just nice
3) Happy Hardcore: It's too funny :D :p I can't really dance to it, but... I do listen to it once in a while
4) MK Soundtrack / Chemical Brothers / Prodigy / Daft Punk's Homework / Moby + Old Eurodance: I just can't get rid of my past :p |
