Nightmare...they let about 150 too many people inside. The cluster that was the restroom/coat check/smoking area around 12:30 was absurd. There were at least 50 guys in line at once for the men's room, plus another 100 trying to check coats. We left just as Sasha came on after getting there at 11 with tickets (line outside wasn't bad) because it was so ing crowded.
I don't know how many people they let in that didn't have advanced tickets, but it was way too many. Some guy at the bar was complaining about how crowded it was and his girlfriend said "I guess that what happens when they can charge $60 at the door at 9pm." |

Wow that sounds ty. Reminds me of when I saw Ferry at Nokia Theater couple years back.
These clubs seem to be getting over-ambitious. When I was in Pacha for Cosmic Gate, I had to leave just as they were coming on. I passed about a half-dozen cops going in. Not sure if they were scoping for drugs or because it was over-crowded, because that place was a show by 1230. |

Yes, it was packed but it wasn't bad on the dance floor itself, just all the surrounding areas. There was no female bathroom line (sorry dudes, now you know how we feel at most shows. Roseland, especially.) and I only left the dance floor maybe twice. It cleared up a bit around 2 am.
Sasha himself was absolutely incredible. Totally on point. Deep, sexy vocal tracks, hit after hit after hit. I was in heaven.
I am bad at track IDing but I know he dropped some Burridge and some Maceo Plex (who just had the most recent Essential Mix, great set). He also said in an interview beforehand that he would be testing Involv3r tracks at Cielo. I have NO idea which were the Involv3r tracks but based on that set, it's going to be pretty phenomenal. |

im glad he delivered but if there were involv3r tracks in his set doubt it was recorded and/or available anywhere.
from what it sounds like, it must have been rammed and as usual, sasha tears down a small room. sucks some peeps on these boards give him such a bad wrap, perhaps those have poor musical choice |

i had few friends that went to Cielo and enjoyed the set as well. I'm glad it was a good one and hoping to hear involv3r when it's out.
But all of my friends were complaining about how packed Cielo was..Here is one quote "the venue was packed as . imagine 500 people trying to crowd into the 4 foot doorway by the bathroom"
It sucks that some peeps on this board are such fanboys and can't take any sort of criticism but rather insult people that say anything that's remotely negative. |

| i know tell me about it, some of us have done this for 18 years week in week out..apparently sasha is over but some how still has one of the best residencies in ibiza he probably just puts everyone to sleep at ushuaia on those nice big comfy beds by the pool |

yeah. i never hear the critics. i listen to the upcoming dj's recent two radio shows. Try to find a liveset of a gig of recent and make my assumption of what will be brought to the plate.
I didn't go to sasha based on that. I knew he was going to play some of his revolver stuff. But i said to myself i'll just go see him when he does his official tour for that.
i didn't even like his set when he won the best liveset of the year two years ago. I think it was then. that set was boring. |
