| So the industry (such as it is) has finally come to this? |

There needs to be some sporting, Iron Chef-esque drama to spice this up:
- have a "special ingredient" for music: Swedish techno from 1997 to 2003, or Italodisco, or Jungle Classics from 1991 thru 2001. Give each contestant (say 3 or 5 per show) a box of records and 20 minutes to skim through them and put together a set
- have to play on a variety of gear: one week, it's 1 belt drive turntable, an ok mixer and a T1200 with a dodgy needle. Next week, it's decent decks and mixer, but they are set on a folding leg table with the home-stereo speakers underneath so the needles may bounce if driven too hard (bonus points for the guy who tapes dimes to the carts!)
- wasted challenge. How drunk you can be and still mix coherently
- being harassed by s asking for requests and/or wasted chicks/guys hitting on you |
