:stongue: :p

I tend to make fun of my own taste, and I do love my upbeat uplifting up-tempo electronic music as much as the next coffee abusing guy, and drum'n'bass is by far my favourite genre, but I do like a bit of everything else just as much (with the sole exception of deep house... and most things "progressive").

As for the stuff churned out by the Ninja Tune label, my favourite artists are Hexstatic, Coldcut and Blockhead. Not sure if these are the artists you like... maybe not :p

No, I'm getting sick of this as well. It's not just the keeping them round the neck, it's an entire group of people who buy £300 headphones simply as a fashion statement, and proceed to intermittently listen to 128kps MP3s of over-compressed pop songs through their smart phone and its terrible, terrible amp

only read up to this point,
..nail on the head :)

EDIT: i have some skull candy headphones that i hook up to my smart phone when im walking to the shop or travelling or whatever, and if i dont have them on my head, i have them round my neck. not as a fasion statement tho, as skull candy is nothing worth advertising. but it just saves hassle of threading the wire through everywhere again when you want to put the headphones on again

I have a pair of Shure headphones for DJ'ing (750's i believe) and a pair of Klipsch earbuds for random listening [commuting, etc] (they are freaking amazing btw)

I don't mind the Shure's, but I'm thinking of getting a pair of new DJ phones, just not quite sure what to get yet.

my sister won a pair of Bests by Dr.Dre headphones and she gave em for me for Christmas. She didn't know anything bout em and i kinda didn't need headphones.

I found out they were the studio model and retail price is $300.

Sadly I tried to return em to best buy or radio shack for store credit and to my dismay, you need a receipt

its a month since christmas and i have yet to take em out of the box...

are these headphones worth using or should i try to sell em

It's a fashion statement because they spent WAY, WAY, WAY, more money than they should have on those.

For the cost of those I would wear them everywhere.

Having sex: Headphones
Taking a dump: Headphones
Playing football: Headphones

Keep in mind I don't own these overpriced ghetto fab headphones.

If you got them for free I would sell them, but if you want to try them out just go to Best Buy and listen to their test models that they have on the floor. Then you can decide if you like them or want to sell them.

My Senn 280s are starting to show too much wear-n-tear (have had to duct tape the headband twice now!). Time to get something new, and the Senn 449s are looking mighty tempting...

Yeah, they're about $50 more than one should be paying for portables, but still over half the price of Dre Beats.:wtf:
