New House song! "Holy Cow"

This is my fourth House/Electro song.
As it says on SoundCloud this is just a demo, I just want to know what you think and what I can do better and such.
And by any means, don't be hatin'. I want to get better, so give constructive critisism.

Hello.
Firstly your melody makes me feel confused and frustrated :tongue2
I'd work on a new one, when you listen to your tracks over and over you begin to get used to a melody.
The main lead is taking up alot of room, its muffeling your kick, try Sidechaining it a little and putting a notch in the eq when the kick is peaking in the high spectrum. But i'd choose a more tecky kick with more bite.
At 3.24 i was hoping to hear something new and exciting, I'd add something new. Maybe play around with some plucks or a arp.
I'm not a real fan of the bass line copying the melody also.

Hi, thanks for your good and reasonable opinion. I, as well think that there's something wrong with the track. And as you say the melody is taking a lot of space. To be honest, after I uploaded the song on SoundCloud I sidechained the melody but I didnt update the track.
At 3.24 I got really lazy and frustrated. I could find or make something new that would have a nice transition with the first bassline. About the bassline copying the melody it's actually the other way round but still it's the same thing. I like doing that and some people like it as well and some dont like it. Again thank you very much :) |
