yeah, i wondered the same so i did a little digging into the author before i posted. his website is linked on youtube and he seems to have the requisite skills, but lacking the same i couldn't be sure whether this is possible or not.

haha pretty cool: To anyone thinking its fake; I'm 99% sure its not and 100% sure its possible to do. Its not that hard to make a synth of sorts if you know what you're doing/know circuitry/electronics. Kraftwerk made their own synths ffs :p
Also, since he did a vid of him putting everything together there's not much reason to doubt its real-- it wasn't THAT good haha :p

Of course it's fake, you can totally tell by the way they try to make it look amateur, by overly zooming in and out, by their unnatural hesitation.
You get exactly the same 'trying to act amateur' style in the Paranormal Activity series.
If the end result is not fake, then their over acted surprise at their first attempt at using it is.
