On Saturday, February 25, 2012 we welcome the talented Midwesterner DUSTIN ZAHN for an exclusive 4-HOUR set. Opening up for him we are glad to have local Brad Miller for a special DJ appearance, preceded by the Erratic residents Jason T. and LoKKoTRONN. Again, be ready to experience a solid night of proper Techno grooves and riffs delivered by the best in the industry at the renovated National Underground.

Hailing form Minneapolis and dating back nearly 15 years, DUSTIN ZAHN is a veteran in the American Techno scene, representing a sound that, as he describes himself, “is hard enough for the boys, but groovy enough for the ladies.” In essence, he is characterized by the tribal, the moody, and the hypnotic. In 2001, along with his friend and partner Ian Lehman, Dustin formed Abiotic Recordings -an outlet to release his harder techno and experiment with Ian on a Live PA under the moniker The Attack People, which took them across the US, Europe, and South America performing Live acts. Shortly thereafter in 2004, Dustin created the acclaimed Enemy Records, an imprint for him to release “sexy late-night techno often overlooked due to the popularity of his harder sound” as well as for his friends (such as DVS1, Joel Mull, and Decimal) to have an outlet and contribute as well. In 2009, Dustin released his Stranger (To Stability) EP that included a massive Podium Mix by Len Faki, which catapulted Dustin to the forefront of the mainstream techno community, this version becoming one of the acclaimed tunes played by most techno artists and virtually across all festivals. As a testament to his longevity and skill, Dustin has been featured multiple times on the CLR and Electric Deluxe podcasts, so on this night we are extremely pleased to have him play an extended 4-HOUR set showcasing the above talents and more.

BRAD MILLER is a big local figure who has been in the EDM scene for years now and is responsible for the acclaimed “Push the Night” show, recently breaking the Top 50 most listened to music podcasts on iTunes. Brad can be classified as a local celebrity and has opened for some of the most respected names in the industry, including Chris Liebing, as well as for smaller, underrepresented talent. He has managed to borrow the stage across most nocturnal venues in New York City, ranging from Pacha to Sullivan Room to Cielo. Brad’s style is versatile and he holds a keen sense towards the programming of his sets -he tailors, he warms-up, he delivers. Catch him after the Erratic residents, Jason T. and LoKKoTRONN, break open the night and get things going, and before Dustin embarks on his techno marathon.

Really looking forward to this! Want to try and make it my mission this year to get back to the underground to support more of the guys that are really pushing boundaries in the scene. The Erratic parties are really top notch - Audio Injection and Drumcell was nuts back in December and they've consistently been bringing in some of the best techno artists in the biz.
