THIS SATURDAY, February 4, Wobble's trouble-makin' sister party, SORTED, pops into Lina Frey (201 E. Houston St. @ Ludlow) with a blazing lineup rocking proper, pushy deep/techno/underground sounds with me, including the Erratic crew (Jason T. and LoKKoTRONN), James Noblett and NYC producer/DJ Justin Schumacher.

James Vincent's love of electronic music began in the late 1990s, shortly after visiting Twilo, one of New York City's most famous nightclubs. Over the past 14 years, he has played alongside some of the biggest names in dance music at legendary venues such as the Tunnel, Sound Factory, Filter 14, Centro Fly, Le Souk, Baktun, Sin Sin, Leopard Lounge, and Sullivan Room, to name a few. James's early influences include Sasha and John Digweed, Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Danny Howells and Richie Hawtin. In 2004, James took a break from DJing to attend law school. He is now a practicing attorney at an international law firm in New York. However, he continues to pursue the art of DJing. His musical style is a mix of deep sexy house and driving techno.

Jason Tavarez (Jason T) and Nico Tedesco (LoKKoTRONN) are the head honchos and resident DJs behind the Erratic emblem, responsible for hosting exclusive Techno acts in NYC including Perc, Cell Injection and Dadub. In their b2b acts, Jason T and LoKKoTRON blend the driving with the hypnotic and collaboratively manage to achieve a contagious, uplifting synergy that moves both the mind and the body. Catch them live to experience their techno cuts and selections, and the camaraderie for taking on the decks together.
• Justin Schumacher
2011 was a busy year for Justin Schumacher with releases on Assimilation, Sonido Locale, Gotham Grooves, and Mile End Records all getting international support. Fresh off his signing to Good For You Records, 2012 is proving to be even more hectic in the studio and in the dj booth. Whether its banging techno, funky tech house, or sexy house beats, the dancefloor is always lit up whenever he's on the decks. In an over saturated market of Dj's, Justin stands out from the blur of mediocrity by maintaining his deep passion for the music and carefully selecting his tunes and controlling the vibe and energy on the dancefloor with precision. |
