Are these beats actually binaural or have you just stolen the name?

umm...maybe depending on how much you like trance and how it affects you... I suppose. There are surely plenty of frequencies within the music that would fall within the parameters of a binaural tone.
The brief description on wiki is "Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states."

So basically the answer to your question is yes, I just stole the 'term' and loosely applied it because I thought it was quite cool, and apt.
Just like Ministry of Sound is not actually a government department. Very confusing.
